HandBrake - Installazione Ubuntu 8.04
Handbrake Details
Per Ubuntu 8.10 HandBrake, e le sue GUI, sono disponibil in formato binario compressi in .deb. I possessori di Ubuntu 8.04 (salvo repository a me non pervenuti) devono necessariamente installarlo da sorgenti. Il problema principale che ho riscontrato e' nella versione (molto vecchia) del compilatore YASM. Bisogna quindi scaricare e compilare YASM 0.7.2: Scompattiamo il tarball nella nostra /home e installiamo i sorgenti con:
./configure && make sudo make install
Installiamo le dipendenze necessarie alla compilazione di HandBrake (oltre a quelle basiche contenute nel pacchetto build-essential):
sudo apt-get install subversion jam yasm build-essential autogen autoconf intltool libtool zlib1g-dev libbz2-dev libglib2.0-dev libgtk2.0-dev libhal-dev libhal-storage-dev libgtkhtml3.14-dev libgstreamer0.10-dev libgstreamer-plugins-base0.10-dev
Scarichiamo i sorgenti di HandBrake:
Estraiamo il pacchetto e compiliamolo prima con jam:
tar xvfz HandBrake-0.9.3.tar.gz cd HandBrake-0.9.3 jam make sudo make install
Entriamo nella directory della GUI preferita (nel mio caso GTK) e compiliamo l'interfaccia grafica per il client:
cd gtk ./configure && make sudo make install
Con Xfce (o anche con gli altri DE aventi uno straccio di menu) troveremo un pratico collegamento dell'applicazione nel menu principale, sotto "multimedia" (lo so...e' un menu esagerato, ma i programmi si accumulano senza farci caso..hehe)

Ne ho pronto un altro di articolino per informare i possessori di webcam chicony (la stessa del lenovo n200) che dal kernel 2.6.28 non devono piu' installare gli uvcvideo.

anche io qualcosa in caldo, è una roadmap che verte su risorse e strumenti per lo sviluppatore php. E' abbastanza un parto. Non so quanto ci metterò a dargli un'aspetto pseudo leggibile.
Ps. il triangolino in basso è fico se usi Firefox. Usando ie 6 è orribile (rimane in alto a sx e sformatta la pagina) . Non ho ancora avuto modo di provarlo con ie 7. qualcuno sa darmi un'anticipazione ?
