eclipse: installare e configurare il plugin SubVersive
Svn è un famoso SCM di cui mi sono già occupato e SubVersive è uno dei due più famosi plugin svn per eclipse. Consente ad eclipse di importare progetti residenti su repository ed ottenere cosi un working copy locale sulla quale lavorare e dalla quale effettuare i commit sul repository.

Subversive e Subclipse sono plugin concorrenti che più o meno fanno le stesse cose. Non è molto tempo che uso svn, quindi mi ritengo molto impreparato al momento e perciò ho cercato su google:
"Subversive vs Subclipse" il risultato, come mi aspettavo, non mi ha per nulla chiarito le idee. Sembra esserci una propensione generale per subclipse ma poi non si capisce per quale motivo sia Subversive il plugin "ufficiale" per eclipse. Al momento subversive sembra fare il suo dovere e pertanto, attenendomi strettamente allo schema per la soluzione di ogni problema, non lo tocco.

Installazione
L'installazione è facile e procede liscia in ganimede. Il processo è molto standard: si aggiunge il repository
http://download.eclipse.org/technology/subversive/0.7/update-site/
e si selezionano questi componenti
Il risultato finale è la svn perspective illustrata qui sotto che però non può funzionare per l'assenza di connettori:

Aggiungo il repository

opzionalmente posso aggiungere anche questo repository

e seleziono questi componenti:
L'ultimo step è quello di specificare quale connettore voglio utilizzare per le connessioni svn. Lo faccio da Window->Preferences->SVN
Non resta che aggiungere i repository SVN

si, ho seguito la guida ufficiale, e adesso vede tutto, e lo sto usando...
non so, ma con eclipsePDT su ubuntu ho parecchi problemi che i "cugini" windows non hanno...
cmq subversive mi sembra molto meglio di subclipse.
